This is before any prototyping and design is done. Which is part of why it's harder as well--I don't have a physical thing to show people until AFTER the campaign has already technically met its goal, on top of it being a shorter time window.
If the petition is successful, then Makeship will prototype a design for me, and the 3 week campaign will start; just, the petition will mean that it's already met its goal and any further pledges are on top of the 200 count milestone.

Apparently the petition process is new. It does make things a bit harder to get off the ground admittedly, since it's essentially speedrunning a campaign in 7 days instead of 21, and then the actual campaign is for any orders past the initial 200.
